There’s a little slew of concerts from the 1984 post Swoon tour coming up, starting with a few snippets from the second Hacienda show of the year.
Snippets, because the taper – the same guy who did the January show – was besotted with Hurrah! and taped them instead, leaving only space for 3 songs. I’ve included the BBC snippet I posted before too, edited down to fair use length.
I’m fond of this tour. Paddy still had a bit of a swagger and youthful arrogance, and the indie crowds were warm and receptive. Neil Conti on drums and Virgina Astley on keyboards added polish and class too.
