Sprout star goes off the boil

Fans of Geordie band Prefab Sprout aren’t likely to see them play live again – because front man Paddy McAloon is too scared to tour!

The group have had a string of singles in the charts, but Paddy says be keeps fluffing his lines the minute the spotlight goes on.

“I get on stage and my concentration goes – I can’t even remember the words.” he confesses.
