“I saw em in a Sunderland nightclub on a Wednesday night way way way before they released an album. They may have been pushing an early single but it couldve been before that.
“God knows what they were doing there as the place was a real provincial Saturday night disco type club. The regular music played there was Michael Jackson, Kool and the Gang, Chic, etc etc etc. I spent a lot of time and money there as the manager was a mate of a mate.
“Anyway they stuck it out for ten minutes or so (minimum reqd to be paid iirc) then the manager turned the lights up on em and they happily left the building.
“They were ok but not suited to the venue or crowd at all.”
