Special request for Erika, the complete November 4th 1983 Kitchenware feature from the Tube. Incidentally, Paula Goldberg, the Goth designer at about 5:49 is the voice of the mythical Emma Welles, Paddy’s female alter ego from Swoon and the “Great Escape” promotional interview.
The bit I love best is Keith Armstrong’s bravado in claiming Kitchenware can “get out” of the deals with the major labels if need be. Yeah right Keith.
Anyway it’s a great period piece, and tremendous to see the pre Leather Hurrah!
