Lovely little radio interview from the “Andromeda Heights” promotion, but touching on the work that would later become “the Gunman”.
Key 103 was an evolution from Manchester’s legendary Piccadilly Radio, and was a regional channel albeit with a fairly large reception area in the North West. It’s always a bit hit and miss whether material survives for local radio, so this is a lovely thing to find.
There is a one hour Piccadilly radio 1988 interview in the Independent Local Radio archive at BUFVM.AC.UK – unfortunately as with most academic archives the hoi-polloi aren’t allowed access. Plus a rumoured 1985 session which has never come to light. Just in case anyone has a copy…
This has to date before May 14th, as they mention Sinatra in the present tense. 🙂
