OK, this is a mouthwateringly marvellous thing. Fully signed, the very rare “The Militia Have Arrived” early press promo. There aren’t many of these about unsigned, there were some slipped into copies of “Swoon” possibly, and I’ve never seen a signed one. Wendy signs her surname as “Smithy”, which is a nice touch.
Worth the rather scary starting bid? Well you’re not going to find another one, autographed material is difficult to find these says, and much more so from this period. I’d say it’s worth the money.

Hi there, some years ago I bought a Jordan the Comeback Album simply stated as promo copy. I was quite surprised when it arrived in the mail. It seemed to be a white label/promo copy and on the cover it said – written with a black pen – “Jordan the Comeback Prefab Sprout” in the middle and something like:”for David/ Daniel best wishes Paddy Mcaloon” in the corner. I was never sure – and way too excited for it to be written upon by the man himself and, moreover, prehaps it said “for Daniel” (which happens to also be my name- what’s my name…). I just came across the post on here about the ebay auction of this signed “The Militia Have Arrived” early press promo. And long and behold, there is Paddy McAloon’s Signature on there. So I dug out my Promo Copy and compared the signatures, et voilà! They aren’t perfectly identical – he seemed to have taken more effort and time in signing the “The Militia Have Arrived” early press promo than he did with signing the record cover that I now own (probably because he was way younger back then) but you can clearly make out the similarities between the Initials on the two. The P as well as the M give it away! Thought I’d share this with you. I wish there would be a way of posting a picture of the mentioned album on here. It would be lovely if anybody on here knew anything about it.
