Mick Brown, Night Network – April 22nd 1988

nightnetworkNight Network was another of those late night things that tended to get watched through a mildly hungover Marlboro dulled fuzz, at least as far as I was concerned. And was a staple of students who, mostly, had no VHS equipment. So it’s amazing this got recorded at all.

I say this partly to excuse the faults. It starts off fairly blurry but watchable, and then about half way through the picture gets worse and the sound buzzes a bit. It’s actually a composite of two copies, the first being truncated. But anyway it’s not too bad, and even if they do misspell Paddy’s name, an interesting piece with a bit of detail on Paddy’s plan to work with Quincy Jones.
